This past Sunday-Tuesday (Nov. 10-12) was the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association’s (STAFDA) 43rd annual convention and trade show, showcasing the latest and greatest in power tools, hand tools, fasteners, safety products and essentially any tool you’d find on a construction site — and the vendors that make and sell them. STAFDA 2019 was held in Nashville, TN, occupying the extensive Music City Center in downtown.
This year, Premier’s Chris Dooley and David Vallance showcased Premier’s XtraBond line. Vallance attested that the turn-out of independent tool and materials distributors was huge. There were not only small mom and pop shops from all over the country, but bigger players as well.
“The events they put on were incredible,” Vallance said. “The opening night party was at the Musicians Hall of Fame and most of the 4,000 attendees must have been there. An incredible evening welcomed all the attendees to the start of a great convention.” The following days included workshops and inspirational speakers that proved very informative and helped attendees get a better understanding of how to better serve this type of distribution customer.
As for the Exhibitor Hall, the turnout was great. Both Dooley and Vallance were able to meet with old acquaintances in the industry and a good deal of new faces.
“I believe our presence at this show helps our credibility when calling on distribution customers,” stated Vallance.
